The Warsaw Zoo, established in 1928, is located in the center of Warsaw. It has more than 3,500 animals in its collection not counting nearly 10,000 fish and incalculable invertebrates, representatives of more than 500 species, including about 40 included in the endangered species protection program. For many years it has been a member of WAZA and EAZA, the prestigious organizations for zoos and aquariums in Europe and around the world.
